PhD Widening Participation Scholarships cover UK tuition fees, a stipend of £21,611 per year for 3.5 years, and an annual research budget of £1,000 for the first three years. Ten scholarships are available for UK candidates. Additional funding may be required for laboratory work. LTEC Studentship offers a fee waiver and a stipend of £20,780 for 36 months. Funding is competitive and subject to eligibility.

Requirements
Applicants should have, or expect to obtain, a good undergraduate degree (typically a 2:1 or above) in a relevant subject such as biology, zoology, animal behaviour, or a related field. Priority for scholarships is given to University of Salford graduates and candidates from underrepresented groups, including those from certain postcodes, ethnic minorities, disabled, first-generation, mature, care-experienced, or estranged students.
