KU Leuven is offering a full-time, four-year PhD position at its Ghent Campus, focusing on User-Centric Wireless Networks and Urban Co-Creation. The research aims to rethink the design, deployment, and experience of wireless networks in urban spaces, moving away from static, top-down infrastructure towards adaptive, user-driven network elements that respond to people, movement, and spatial context.

As a PhD student, you will work at the intersection of wireless communication and sensing, spatial analysis and urban design, prototyping and making as research methods, and participatory/co-creation tools for public space.
