The Medical University of Graz in Austria is offering PhD positions in the fields of cancer research, immunology, TRP ion channel pathophysiology, computational modeling, metabolism, and cardiovascular research. These positions are part of three thematic PhD programs: Molecular Medicine, Translational Immunology and Metabolism in Oncology (TIMO), and TRP-dependent Cation Signaling (TRPC.at). The programs are interdisciplinary, bridging basic biomedical research with clinical science, and are supported by the Austrian Science Fund.

PhD students will join an international and interdisciplinary community, working with state-of-the-art techniques and benefiting from dedicated administrative support. The positions come with a 3-year contract (1 initial year plus a 2-year extension), a competitive salary, and social benefits. A fourth year may be possible upon successful completion of a research stay abroad. The university provides support for visas and relocation, and there is no application fee.
