Funding
The positions are fully funded for five years under the Volkswagen Foundation's Change! scheme. Compensation is based on 65% of level E13 public service tariff, with 30 days paid vacation, flexible working hours, and a family-friendly environment. The RCC may assist with work permits and visas. Candidates are required to have German health insurance and contribute to the German tax and social welfare system. Funds for travel and field expenses are available.

Requirements
Applicants must hold an MA in anthropology, history, geography, cultural studies, or a related discipline. Fluency in English with strong writing skills is required. Proficiency in a relevant local language is needed (German for Germany, French for Belgium, Flemish desirable for Belgium). Candidates should be able to work well in a team and commit to 12 months of fieldwork and shorter follow-up visits. Experience in ethnographic fieldwork, archival research, and video ethnography is preferred. A background in history, anthropology, geography, or cultural studies is a plus.
