I will be recruiting a PhD student to join my research team at Dakota State University (DSU) for the Fall 2025 semester. This is a great opportunity for students interested in Computer Vision, Federated Learning and AI research to work on cutting-edge projects in a collaborative and innovative environment.
?? Desired Skillset:
- Strong background in Computer Vision
- Knowledge on Federated Learning
- Experience with Vision-Language Models (VLMs)
- Experience in YOLO (You Only Look Once) and object detection techniques
Familiarity with current vision technologies, including:
- Curvilinear object detection
- Visual Transformers
- Multi-modal AI (vision + language)
- Real-time object detection and tracking
- Few-shot and zero-shot learning techniques for vision tasks
?? About the Research:
The selected student will work on innovative projects at the intersection of Computer Vision, Federated Learning and AI, exploring the latest advancements in Vision-Language Models, object detection, and AI-powered perception systems.
