Université Côte d'Azur in France is launching two major international calls for postdoctoral and advanced research positions across all disciplines and artistic fields. The Excellence Fellowships for Young Researchers 2026 program offers 12 fully funded, 24-month postdoctoral fellowships. Applicants from any discipline are eligible and must collaborate with a Université Côte d’Azur laboratory or research group to design an original research program. Fellows are contractually required to apply for a permanent researcher position or submit an ERC grant application during their fellowship. The application deadline is March 6, 2026.

The IdEx Advanced Research Program 2026 invites top-level researchers and artists to join Université Côte d’Azur for 6–24 month research chairs. The program aims to foster high-impact research and creative projects, strengthen international collaborations, and enhance the university’s global visibility. Selected candidates will work closely with a local host to develop and submit an original research proposal. The application deadline for this program is March 23, 2026.

Both programs require candidates to first contact a relevant laboratory or research group at Université Côte d’Azur to develop a research plan with a supervisor or host. Applications are submitted via the Nuxéo platform. The calls are open to all scientific and artistic fields, including but not limited to biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics, computer science, art, medical science, environmental science, psychology, economics, political science, sociology, neuroscience, philosophy, history, literature, robotics, materials science, biomedical engineering, and cognitive science.

Funding is provided for the duration of the contract, but specific stipend amounts are not detailed. The programs are designed to support research excellence and international collaboration, with a strong emphasis on career development and future recruitment opportunities at Université Côte d’Azur or through ERC grants.
