The Free University of Berlin is offering a permanent, full-time postdoctoral position (Akademische*r Rat/Rätin, salary grade A13) in the Hydrogeology working group at the Institute for Geological Sciences. The research group focuses on groundwater quality, pollutant fate and transport, groundwater ecology, microbial dynamics, and quantitative hydrogeology. The successful candidate will independently conduct or substantially participate in lectures, tutorials, and practical courses, and contribute to the development of innovative teaching methods. The role also involves active participation in research projects, project management, and scientific collaboration within the group.

Applicants must hold a university degree and doctorate in hydrogeology or a related discipline, with at least three years of full-time scientific or technical practical experience after graduation. Several years of experience in hydrogeological research and teaching are required.
