About this position
Postdoctoral Researcher position available at the COMPutational Analysis of Social Systems (COMPASS) Lab, Department of Scientific Computing, Pukyong National University (PKNU), Busan, South Korea.
The lab studies the social impact of climate change and climate disasters through network science, complexity science, and data-driven analysis. Research themes include data analysis of climate disasters and their social impact, climate-society interaction from a complexity science perspective, and network-based opinion dynamics modeling.
This is a 1-year postdoctoral appointment starting in June 2026, with the possibility of renewal through August 2028. The salary is approximately KRW 66 million per year (about USD 48K), including severance.
Eligibility: applicants should hold a Ph.D. or be expected to complete one in statistical physics, network science, data science, complexity science, or a related field. The degree should have been obtained within the past 7 years or the applicant should be under 40. SCI(E) publications are preferred. The post is open to Korean nationals, and one international applicant may also be considered.
