We're looking for a PhD student to join an exciting project as part of a national Cancer Research UK (CRUK) programme of work: "Prevention not cure: An interdisciplinary approach to preventing Myeloma"
?? You will develop an early economic decision model to assess the potential value of targeted screening and early intervention strategies for Myeloma (a type of blood cancer).
?? The analysis will be informed by a unique dataset from Iceland generated as part of the iSTOPMM project ( https://istopmm.com/ ) - the largest scientific study EVER conducted in Iceland. You will have the opportunity to visit the team in Iceland as part of your research.
?? This project is perfect for anyone with experience in health economics (or a related discipline) who is keen to develop their modelling skills and work with international teams to inform future clinical trials and guidelines.
You'll work closely with an interdisciplinary team at Academic Unit of Health Economics (AUHE) at the University of Leeds, clinical partners at the University of Birmingham, and the iSTOPMM team in Iceland.
?? Please share widely, and feel free to message me if you have questions.
