Ghent University is seeking a Post-doctoral Assistant for a temporary two-year appointment in the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, specifically within the Department PP51 - Dean's Office. At least 70% of the assignment will be dedicated to academic research, while the remainder involves assisting in teaching at the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels, supervising skills labs for the Human Resource Management course (taught in Dutch), and counseling both Master’s and doctoral students. The role also includes contributing to the redevelopment of skills labs using new technologies such as AI, and actively participating in research projects that develop and validate digital interventions to promote talent and trait development. Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in Psychology and have experience supervising skills labs in HRM/Personnel Psychology. Research experience in intentional talent and trait development, including mapping development needs and designing interventions, is required. Candidates should be familiar with technology for digital interventions and have experience collaborating with other higher education institutions on research related to talent development in the school-to-work transition. The position offers a salary according to the AAP5 scale, 36 days of paid leave, bicycle commuting reimbursement, ecocheques, and other staff benefits. The appointment is non-renewable and will start no earlier than January 1, 2026.
