Postdoctoral Research Associate in Agricultural Economy and Bioeconomy Modeling at New Mexico Tech
New Mexico Tech is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate for research in agricultural economy and bioeconomy modeling. The position is open to candidates with a Ph.D. in economics, applied economics, or related quantitative social science fields. Research areas include hydrology-agricultural economy modeling, drought-resilient water and land management strategies, and economic modeling for bioeconomy-based regional development. The associate will work on topics such as product innovation, scalability, entrepreneurship, value chains, and policy analysis. The role involves manuscript and proposal development, stakeholder engagement, and research training opportunities, including interaction with graduate and undergraduate research assistants.
The position is full-time, with a salary range of $50,000 to $60,000, and includes comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement, mostly paid by New Mexico Tech. The initial appointment is for one year, renewable for another year based on performance and funding. Professional development opportunities are also available.
