Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

A fully funded DPhil (PhD) position is available at the University of Oxford, Department of Psychiatry, through the MRC iCASE studentship scheme. The project focuses on conversational AI for global adolescent mental health, aiming to design, implement, and evaluate digital interventions to support young people, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. The research will be supervised by Professor Mina Fazel, Dr Holly Bear, Dr Mirela Zaneva, and Dr Karina Rios Michel, in collaboration with Girl Effect. The student will conduct systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and participatory research, including co-designing digital health interventions with young people and collaborating with global partners. The studentship covers full tuition and provides a stipend, with a start date in October 2026.
