PhD Position in Molecular Mechanisms of Alzheimer's Disease (Computational & Experimental)

The Plass Lab at the Universitat de Barcelona, led by Associate Professor Mireya Plass, is seeking talented PhD students to join their research group through the Joan Oró PhD scholarship. By differentiating induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) into various neural cell types, the lab aims to characterize gene expression changes and identify pathways involved in the onset and progression of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's. Eligibility requirements include completion of undergraduate or Master's studies within the European Higher Education Area, a Master's degree obtained after January 1, 2023, no more than 12 months of prior predoctoral staff grant experience, and an academic transcript average grade above 8.
