CSIR-CCMB Summer Training Program in Cellular and Molecular Biology for Undergraduate and Masters Students

The CSIR Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) in Hyderabad, India, is offering a Summer Training Program designed for students in the fields of cellular and molecular biology, life sciences, and pharmacy. This program provides a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on research experience by executing a small project under the guidance of a scientist at CCMB. In addition to research work, participants will benefit from a lecture series covering popular science topics, scientific ethics, good laboratory practices, and career opportunities in the life sciences sector. The program is open to a wide range of students: those enrolled in M.Sc., M.Tech, or M.Pharm programs (admitted in 2025 and completed the first year), B.Tech or B.Pharm programs (admitted in 2023 and completed three years), integrated B.Tech-M.Tech, B.Sc-M.Sc., or BVSc programs (who have completed the 8th semester or four years), MBBS or BDS students (who have completed three years), and B.Sc in Biosciences 4-year program students (admitted in 2023 and completed three years). Students from 3-year B.Sc. programs are not eligible. The training will last for 60 days, starting from 15th May 2026. The program is highly competitive and aims to nurture the next generation of researchers in biology, medical science, and pharmacy. While the announcement does not specify any funding or stipend, the focus is on academic and research training. Interested candidates should visit the official CCMB website to review detailed eligibility criteria and application procedures. The application deadline is 10th March 2026.
