About this position

Texas Christian University (TCU) is recruiting for a full-time, on-campus faculty position in the Department of Occupational Therapy within the Harris College of Nursing & Health Sciences. The opening is for an Assistant or Associate Professor, either tenure-track or professional practice, supporting the developing entry-level Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) program.

This opportunity is centered on occupational therapy, health sciences, clinical education, teaching, research, and professional practice. Faculty responsibilities include teaching, mentoring graduate students, contributing to university and community service, and, for tenure-track candidates, maintaining an active scholarship agenda with extramural funding.

Eligibility highlights include licensure or eligibility for licensure as an occupational therapist in Texas and a doctoral degree such as OTD, PhD, EdD, or equivalent. Three years of clinical experience is preferred. Candidates with advanced clinical expertise in areas such as geriatrics, neuro-rehabilitation, or hand therapy are especially encouraged to apply.

The position is full-time, 12-month, and on-campus in Fort Worth, Texas. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The review of applications begins immediately and continues until the position is filled. The role is slated to begin on January 1, 2027.

To apply, candidates should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, teaching statement, and three references through the TCU jobs portal. Tenure-track applicants must also include a research statement with agenda. Applications submitted outside the online system will not be considered.
