What's required
Applicants must have a Master’s degree (or be close to completion) in Engineering, Sustainability, Disaster Risk, Economics, Statistics/Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field. Essential requirements include experience with large datasets, analytical/quantitative models, and geospatial programming (preferably Python), strong motivation for climate change research, and interest in multidisciplinary and collaborative work with infrastructure operators. Desirable qualifications include excellent study results, professional communication skills in Dutch, and knowledge of integrating technical concepts within quantitative spatial modelling frameworks. English proficiency is required for participation in doctoral education and scientific writing.

Part of the Transformative Adaptation Strategies for Interdependent Critical Infrastructure (TASICI) project.
Collaborations with leading partners such as Schiphol, Rijkswaterstaat, Port of Rotterdam, ProRail, and Vervoersregio Amsterdam.
Case studies include the Greater Amsterdam Metropolitan Area and the Rhine-Alpine Rail Corridor.
Interdisciplinary approach integrating climate hazard data, infrastructure network models, and participatory methods with infrastructure operators.
