Description

The CrossCulture Programme (CCP) Fellowships 2026 in Germany offer a fully funded opportunity for 55–60 professionals and volunteers from over 40 countries to advance their expertise and foster transcultural collaboration. The fellowship supports work in fields such as policy, media, human rights, sustainable development, and climate justice, with a special focus on culture of remembrance and democratic resilience in 2026. Participants work with host organizations in Germany or CCP partner countries for 2–3 months, either on-site or digitally, depending on circumstances and travel regulations. Key objectives of the program include strengthening civil society networks globally, promoting professional development through collaboration with host organizations, and fostering transcultural understanding and empathy, particularly for artists and professionals in policy, media, human rights, and sustainable development. Fellows participate in workshops, networking events, and professional meetings to gain valuable insights and skills. Eligibility criteria require applicants to be at least 23 years old with a minimum of two years of professional or volunteer experience in a civil society organization. A strong command of written and spoken English is mandatory, as English is the primary language for the program and workshops. Applicants must be able to undertake a prolonged stay abroad, and current students are not eligible. Desirable qualifications include long-term social or community engagement, collaboration with organizations in the host country, and additional language skills, especially German. The fellowship is fully funded, covering a monthly stipend (€650 for participants from abroad, €1,200 for participants from Germany), round-trip airfare, accommodation, monthly public transport ticket, health insurance, and visa fees. The program does not cover costs for accompanying family members. Funding is subject to approval by the German Federal Foreign Office. To apply, candidates should select their country on the CCP application portal, complete the online form, and upload all required documents, including a CV and a letter of recommendation. The application period is from 15 October to 10 December 2025, and the program runs from May to November 2026. Selected fellows will be notified by email in March/April 2026. The fellowship provides mentorship, access to transcultural workshops, professional development opportunities, and inclusion in the CCP alumni network. For more information and to apply, visit the official CCP Fellowships website. Contact [email protected] for health-related concerns.
