The successful candidate will join the Department of Mathematics and pursue original research in group actions, geometric structures, and smooth dynamics, supervised by Prof. K. Melnick. The research focus includes differential geometry, Lie groups, and dynamical systems, aiming to contribute to the advancement of mathematical knowledge and its dissemination.

The doctoral researcher will actively participate in the scientific activities of the research group, including seminars, workshops, conferences, and collaborative initiatives. In addition to research, the candidate will support the teaching mission of the department through tutorials, grading, and other pedagogical activities, as part of the university's doctoral training requirements. Outreach and dissemination activities to promote mathematics within the academic community and to the public are also encouraged.

Applicants must hold a Master's degree in Mathematics or an equivalent qualification, with a strong background in differential geometry, Lie groups, or related areas. Demonstrated motivation for research in geometry and dynamical systems is essential. Language proficiency at least at B2-level in the thesis language is required, with accepted certificates as specified by the university.
