University College London's Connected Environments Lab is offering two fully-funded PhD opportunities as part of the EPSRC Landscape Award (UELA) for the 2026/27 academic year. These positions are among 100+ projects available, with a total of 50 fully-funded four-year PhD studentships starting on 1 October 2026. Project 1, supervised by Dr Valerio Signorelli, focuses on 'Overlayed Realities – Situated Visualisation and Analyses for Managing and Predicting Resilient Urban Systems.' Project 2, supervised by Prof Duncan Wilson, is titled 'The Invisible Cyclist – Mandating V2X Presence Messaging for Autonomous Urban Streets,' in partnership with The Bicycle Association of Great Britain. The studentships are open to both home and international applicants (up to 15 international places).

Funding covers tuition and a stipend for four years. Applicants should have a strong background in a relevant field such as computer science, urban planning, or engineering.
