Inside their cells, they produce magnetosomes – nanosized crystals of magnetite (Fe3O4) perfectly aligned like a compass needle.
?? Your challenge: understand how these biological nanomagnets organize, interact, and behave, using advanced microscopy techniques such as:
Off-axis electron holography
High-resolution transmission electron microscopy (TEM)
