The Department of Communications Engineering at the University of Bremen, Germany, invites outstanding postdoctoral researchers to jointly apply for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowship 2026. This prestigious fellowship offers the opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research in physical-layer and wireless systems for future 6G networks within an international and highly collaborative environment.

Four main research areas are available:

• Semantic Communication (SemCom): Focuses on AI-driven, meaning-aware transmission, digital twins, and multi-agent systems, exploring the intersection of information theory, AI, and cognitive systems.
• Resilient 6G Networks: Investigates cognitive, AI-native, and multi-domain architectures for dependable next-generation connectivity, emphasizing robust, adaptive, and intelligent network design.
• PHY & Next-Generation Wireless Systems: Covers ISAC, Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN), Holographic MIMO, and 3D network optimization, with a focus on AI-native physical-layer design and intelligent signal processing.
• Event-Based Sampling & Sensor Networks: Explores asynchronous, low-power sensing combined with AI-aware signal reconstruction, aiming to develop low-complexity, energy-efficient sensor networks.

Eligibility: Applicants must hold a PhD degree, have no more than 8 years of post-PhD research experience, and comply with the MSCA mobility rule (not residing or working in Germany for more than 12 months within the last 36 months before the deadline). Candidates should have a strong background in wireless communications, signal processing, or related fields.

Funding: The MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship provides full funding, including salary, research costs, and mobility allowance, making it a highly competitive and attractive opportunity for early-career researchers.
