About this position
The Giamas Lab at Zhejiang Chinese Medical University is recruiting for both PhD and postdoctoral positions in the field of cancer research. The lab, known as G.LA.R.E. (Giamas Translational Cancer Research Lab), is dedicated to advancing precision oncology through innovative research on the molecular mechanisms of cancer progression, metastasis, and therapeutic resistance. The research environment is highly interdisciplinary, integrating molecular, cellular, and biochemical approaches with clinically validated models, including 3D organoids, CRISPR-edited cell lines, and high-throughput screening platforms. The lab also utilizes multi-omics analyses (genomics, proteomics, transcriptomics) and patient-derived xenografts to dissect signaling pathways and protein networks relevant to cancer biology.
PhD studentships are open to UK/European applicants who hold or are on track to complete an MSc or equivalent in a relevant life sciences discipline by summer 2026. Postdoctoral positions are available for international applicants with a strong background in cancer biology and expertise in spatial -omics, cell/molecular biology, and/or bioinformatics. The lab offers mentorship for career development, access to state-of-the-art facilities, and the opportunity to publish high-impact work. The team is committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse research environment, encouraging applications from all qualified individuals.
Applicants should submit a detailed CV, a cover letter specifying the position of interest and outlining relevant experience and research interests, and contact information for two academic referees. Applications should be sent to Prof. Georgios Giamas at [email protected] by May 31, 2026. For more information about the lab and its research focus, visit https://www.glare.bio/.
