The ELIXIR Lab (Embodied Learning and Intelligence for eXploration and Innovative Soft Robotics) at Toronto Metropolitan University is seeking motivated PhD and Postdoctoral researchers to join their team. The lab, led by Professor Robin Chhabra, focuses on cutting-edge research in robotics, mechatronics, artificial intelligence, soft robotics, geometric and learning-based control, autonomous and space systems, and adaptive robotic intelligence. Research areas include embodied and brain-inspired AI, soft and bio-inspired robotics, learning-based and geometric control, autonomous aerial and space systems, and human-centered robotics.

Successful candidates will have a strong background in robotics, AI, machine learning, or control, and possess solid programming skills in Python, C++, or MATLAB. The positions are funded through the Canada Impact+ Research Training Awards (CIRTA), offering competitive stipends: $65,000 per year for PhD students (up to 3 years) and $95,000 per year for postdoctoral researchers (up to 2 years).
