Monthly PhD scholarship from the Gerda Henkel Foundation of 1,920 EUR net (base amount), plus family allowances and additional top-ups if applicable. The contract is fixed-term, renewable every year for a total of 3 years.

Requirements
Applicants must hold a Master's degree in social sciences or a related field, or have equivalent relevant experience. Strong knowledge of international development and humanitarian systems, relevant actors and standards, and recent literature and debates is required. Candidates should have a strong interest in issues facing LGBTQI+ people, interdisciplinary and international scientific work, and experience working in multicultural environments with cultural sensitivity. Cooperative work style, flexibility, organizational skills, and very good written and oral knowledge of English are essential. Knowledge of French, Spanish, Arabic, and/or German is an asset. Desirable qualifications include a record of academic/research publications, strong networks in humanitarian action, ability to apply for and conduct externally funded research, experience in advanced training/university courses, and practical experience in LGBTQI+ activism, research, or work in humanitarian crises.
