This postdoctoral position at Eindhoven University of Technology focuses on the development of photonic integrated circuits (PICs) for quantum technology, specifically within the Dutch-German InSynQ project. The research aims to advance integrated photonics for quantum sensing and metrology, leveraging indium phosphide (InP) monolithic technology at telecom wavelengths (around 1550 nm). The role involves working with external foundry platforms (such as JePPIX), coordinating with a PhD student developing advanced photodiodes, and testing chips in state-of-the-art optical characterization labs. The postdoc will maintain a broad overview of InP PIC technology and its ecosystem, contributing to a highly collaborative environment within the Photonic Integration group (PhI) at the Department of Electrical Engineering.
The group is part of the Casimir Institute for Future Chips and High-Tech Systems, which brings together research in integrated photonics, semiconductor technology, and quantum technology.
