About this position

An immediate opening is available for a Postdoctoral Fellow in the interdisciplinary Translational Research Program at Western University of Health Sciences, Pomona, California. The position is under the direction of Prof. Devendra K. Agrawal and is ideal for a highly motivated PhD or MD-PhD graduate (within the last 2–4 years) with expertise in in vivo experimental models of cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, or neurological diseases. Research areas include metabolic syndrome, coronary artery disease, carotid artery disease, rotator cuff injury, and traumatic brain injury.

The successful candidate should have experience in cell and molecular immunology, immunopathology, transmembrane signaling, biochemical assays, and molecular biology techniques. Responsibilities include designing and conducting experiments independently, analyzing data, writing manuscripts and fellowship applications, and presenting findings at national and international meetings.
