The Wright Lab at Baylor University, led by Aaron Wright (James R. Schofield Endowed Chair in Biomedical Sciences), is recruiting multiple postdoctoral fellows with expertise in chemical biology and/or chemoproteomics. The lab operates at the intersection of microbiome science and chemistry, focusing on characterizing microbial biochemical mechanisms and developing novel therapeutic strategies for gut and oral health. Research projects include the development and application of chemical biology and chemoproteomics approaches to enable targeted pathogen killing by bacteriophage in the oral microbiome.

Applicants for the postdoctoral positions should hold a Ph.D. in chemical biology, chemistry, or a related field, and have relevant expertise. The lab is also seeking a lab manager at the M.S. or Ph.D. level, with responsibilities including lab management and collaborative research. Suitable backgrounds for the lab manager include microbiology, organic chemistry, or mass spectrometry-based proteomics/metabolomics.
