The Institute of Molecular Genetics of Montpellier (IGMM, CNRS) at the University of Montpellier is seeking a postdoctoral researcher in bioinformatics to join the group of Maud Borensztein. The research focuses on gene dosage and epigenetic regulation, particularly X-chromosome dynamics during mammalian development. The project integrates transcriptomics and functional genomics data with computational and predictive approaches, aiming to characterize and model epigenetic reprogramming, with a special emphasis on the X chromosome.

The successful candidate will analyze allele-specific epigenomic and transcriptomic datasets, develop and use computational pipelines for high-throughput sequencing data, and apply supervised learning or statistical modeling approaches. The role also involves biological interpretation of results and contributing to scientific publications. The research environment is highly international and interdisciplinary, with access to state-of-the-art core facilities and a vibrant academic community in Montpellier, France.

Applicants should have a PhD in informatics, modeling, or a related field such as bioinformatics. Essential skills include omics data analysis (R, Python, or equivalent), experience in modeling and machine learning for genomics/epigenomics, and strong scientific rigor. Proficiency in English (B2 or above) is required. Experience in developmental biology, reproduction, or epigenetics is advantageous but not mandatory.
