Three postdoctoral positions are available in the Genomics and Life Paths consortium, a three-node project spanning Uppsala University, Amsterdam UMC, and the University of Oslo. The project sits at the intersection of genomics, gene-environment interplay, social genomics, and the study of social, economic, political, and health outcomes.

The research examines how genetic factors influence life outcomes such as educational choices, social behaviors, political participation, health habits, income, and social trust, and how these effects interact with environmental and social circumstances. The consortium uses large-scale genotype data across Europe together with register and survey data, making this a strong fit for candidates with interests in statistical genetics, GWAS, polygenic indexes, quantitative social science, and interdisciplinary research.

The positions are linked to a Swedish Research Council-funded infrastructure grant. The Uppsala postdoctoral position is a full-time fixed-term appointment starting 2026-09-01, with a deadline of 2026-05-08.
