About this position
The University of Luxembourg, a leading international research university, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Anti-Jamming Signal Processing. The position is based at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT), specifically within the SIGCOM research group led by Prof. Symeon Chatzinotas. SIGCOM is renowned for its work in wireless and satellite communications, focusing on the design and analysis of future 6G networks and resilient wireless communication systems.
The successful candidate will contribute to research on resilient wireless networks, addressing both intentional (jamming) and unintentional interference. Responsibilities include designing and developing advanced signal processing techniques for interference detection, characterization, and mitigation, with a focus on multi-antenna processing (such as direction of arrival estimation, nulling, and beam-steering) and signal cancellation. The role also involves leveraging AI and machine learning tools to support decision-making in dynamic, spectrally congested environments, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team within SIGCOM.
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with a strong publication record and expertise in resilient wireless networks, interference detection/mitigation, and signal processing. Proficiency in MATLAB is required, and experience with Python and machine learning frameworks is advantageous. The position offers a fixed-term contract of 24 months, a competitive gross annual salary of EUR 85,176, and access to state-of-the-art research facilities and international collaborations.
The University of Luxembourg provides a modern, inclusive, and dynamic research environment, with strong ties to industry and European institutions. The application process is fully online via the university's HR system. Required documents include a CV, detailed academic background, cover letter, PhD diploma or expected defense date, and transcripts. Early applications are encouraged as review is ongoing until the position is filled.
