The Department of Nutrition, Exercise, and Sports at the University of Copenhagen is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher for a 4-year fixed-term position in the Sustainable Nutrition and Health Research Group. The position is embedded in the ReqProQ research project, which aims to reevaluate current recommendations for dietary protein intake by considering protein quality in human studies. The research is highly relevant to the ongoing shift towards more plant-based diets and is funded by Novozymes A/S (Novonesis Group).

The successful candidate will prepare, conduct, analyze, and disseminate two randomized, controlled trials using stable isotope methodologies. One study will use the Indicator Amino Acid Oxidation approach, while the other will focus on whole-body protein turnover measurements. The role involves protocol preparation, laboratory setup, trial execution, and planning analyses, in collaboration with the project team and technicians. Additional responsibilities include lecturing, teaching, and supervising BSc and MSc students.

Applicants must have a relevant PhD (Nutrition, Physiology, Medicine, Biology, Agronomy, or similar), excellent English skills, and preferably experience with human intervention trials and empirical assessment of protein quality. Experience with stable isotope methodology and setting human nutrient requirements is desirable. Danish language skills are an advantage but not required.

The position offers a monthly salary starting at 39,237 DKK (approx. 5,266 EUR), with pension contributions and potential tax reductions for eligible foreign applicants.
