This postdoctoral researcher position at Uppsala University focuses on mass spectrometry-based metabolomics for biomarker discovery in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) and related diseases. The successful candidate will join the Globisch laboratory, an international and multidisciplinary research group specializing in quantitative and qualitative metabolomics analysis of human samples. The research aims to advance biomarker discovery for pancreatic cancer and other diseases, with additional emphasis on chemical biology methodologies for targeted investigation of microbiome metabolism.

The postdoctoral fellow will investigate large human plasma and serum cohorts from pancreatic cancer patients, performing biological sample preparation, UHPLC-MS/MS analysis, bioinformatics, and statistical analysis. The Globisch laboratory's expertise in chemical biology will be applied to these samples to gain comprehensive metabolomics data. The position is part of the EU-network PANCAID, fostering interdisciplinary scientific interactions within an international consortium.
