This position is a collaboration between UHN and the University of Toronto, under the supervision of Dr. Jennifer Chung (Division of Cardiac Surgery) and Prof. Craig Simmons (Translational Biology and Engineering Program, Ted Rogers Centre for Heart Research). The role is ideal for candidates with a background in Biological Sciences or Engineering who are interested in advancing research in cardiac and aortic biology.

Key responsibilities include maintaining a comprehensive aortic database and tissue bank, conducting mechanical testing on aortic tissue, performing histology procedures, and assisting with basic lab work and data analysis. The successful candidate will support lab-based research, handle biological samples, follow lab safety and quality standards, and work closely with research scientists.
