PhD and Postdoc Positions in Quantum-AI Security, Cyber Defense, and Adaptive Architectures at University of Calgary

The Smart Cyber-Physical Systems (SCPS) Lab at the University of Calgary is recruiting multiple PhD students and postdoctoral fellows for cutting-edge research in quantum-AI security, threat analytics, and adaptive cyber defense architectures. PhD opportunities include projects on hybrid quantum-classical methods for threat detection, anomaly correlation, and vulnerability mapping across cyber-physical and industrial systems, as well as the design of cognitive and explainable AI agents for cyber defense against zero-day and adversarial threats. The postdoctoral fellowship focuses on leading the development of adaptive quantum-AI defense architectures, including self-learning, zero-trust, and post-quantum-ready security frameworks capable of autonomous response and continuous resilience improvement. Applicants should have a strong background in AI-driven cybersecurity, quantum computing, or cyber-physical/OT systems, with experience in machine learning, graph neural networks, or quantum algorithms. An excellent publication record and strong communication skills are required.
