Teaching Faculty Position in Biomedical Engineering (Undergraduate, Non-Tenure-Track) at Villanova University
Villanova University is seeking applications for a Continuing Non-Tenure-Track Teaching Faculty Position in the Biomedical Engineering Undergraduate Program (BSBME), with an appointment beginning in August 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate core and elective courses in biomedical engineering, with the possibility of teaching graduate courses in related areas. Focus areas for teaching and curriculum development include data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, experimental analysis and design, product design, numerical modelling, and physiology.
Applicants must have earned a PhD in Biomedical, Chemical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or a closely related field by the appointment start date. The role involves developing new course content, mentoring and advising students on academic plans, senior capstone or independent projects, and professional development. Collaboration with faculty across the program and college is expected. The BSBME Program will welcome its first cohort of undergraduate students in Fall 2026.
This is a nine-month academic year appointment, renewable based on enrollment needs, funding availability, and performance.
