Funding details

The scholarship is fully funded for both UK and international students. It covers full tuition fees and provides an annual stipend of £20,780 for three years. Funding is awarded on a rolling basis, and additional bursaries and scholarships may be available.

What's required

Applicants must hold at least a 2:1 honours degree or its international equivalent. Strong grades in both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in relevant disciplines such as Statistics, Financial Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, or related fields are required. A strong research proposal is expected. Applications must include a personal statement, CV, two academic references, and degree transcripts. English language requirements and standard PhD admission criteria of the University of Southampton apply.
