The Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM), in partnership with Lancaster University, is offering a fully funded, four-year MRC Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP) for PhD studies starting October 2026. This prestigious scholarship program is designed to develop bridge scientists who can translate scientific innovation into real-world health benefits, particularly for vulnerable communities worldwide.

With nearly 40 diverse projects available, the DTP covers a wide range of translational research themes, including neglected tropical diseases, snakebite, resistance research and management, maternal, newborn and child health, vector biology, drug discovery and development, health policy, and lung health and tuberculosis.
