PhD Full Scholarship / Cotutelle PhD opportunity in AI-Enhanced Sustainability Assessment of Agri-Food Systems in Asia.

This is a joint doctoral opportunity between Mahidol University (Thailand) and Macquarie University (Australia), leading to two PhD degrees. The project sits at the intersection of Environmental Science, Agriculture, Computer Science, and engineering, with a strong focus on life cycle assessment (LCA), data modelling, and sustainability analysis of agri-food systems.

Program details: Doctor of Philosophy Program in Environmental and Water Resources Engineering (International Program), Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University; and Doctor of Philosophy Program in Engineering, School of Engineering, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Macquarie University.

Supervisors: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trakarn Prapaspongsa, Prof. Shabbir H. Gheewala, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nazmul Huda, and Prof. Dr. Vladimir Strezov.

Eligibility highlights: B.Eng./B.Sc. with GPA > 3.00; M.Eng./M.Sc. with GPA > 3.50; prior experience in LCA and agri-food systems/data inventory or data modelling; IELTS 6.5 with 2-year validity; and at least one published research article in a journal indexed in a database accepted by Mahidol University.

Funding: Full scholarship. The study period is August 2026 to July 2029 (3 years).
