Requirements
Applicants must have a strong academic background in ecology, biogeography, or evolutionary biology. Proficiency in R or another scientific programming language for data analysis and modeling is required, as well as experience working with large datasets and strong analytical/quantitative skills. Assets include fieldwork experience in ecological or biodiversity studies, ecological modeling and/or spatial analysis (e.g., GIS), mathematical skills relevant to quantitative ecology, knowledge of insect physiology, metabolism, or biochemistry, previous scientific publishing experience, and potential and motivation to secure external funding such as scholarships or fellowships.
