About this position

The Mechanical Engineering Heat Transfer Lab at the University of California Merced is recruiting two postdoctoral scholars for research in nanoscale heat transfer, focusing on experimental measurements and numerical simulations in micro/nanomaterials and their interfaces. The successful candidates will conduct experiments and simulations to characterize non-diffusive heat transfer, write research papers, and assist in supervising graduate and undergraduate assistants.

The position offers an annual starting salary between $69,073 and $82,836, is a full-time (100%) appointment, and lasts for two years. Applicants must hold a PhD in thermal science and engineering or a related field, with experience in thermometry and modeling, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
