Université Laval in Québec City, Canada, is seeking outstanding international candidates for PhD and postdoctoral positions in the lab of Associate Professor Edel Pérez-López, Canada Research Chair in Insect Vectors Invasions and Emergent Plant Diseases. The research focuses on sustainable plant health, insect vectors, microbiomes, effector biology, and the application of artificial intelligence in agriculture. This opportunity is part of the prestigious Canada Impact+ Research Training Awards, a tri-agency initiative (CIHR–NSERC–SSHRC) designed to attract top international research talent to Canada. The Canada Impact+ Research Training Awards will provide 600 doctoral scholarships and 400 postdoctoral research awards, supporting research in eight priority areas, including advanced digital technologies (AI), health and biotechnology, clean technology, environment and climate resilience, food and water security, and more.
