The International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) is offering a prestigious PhD Graduate Research Assistantship in the Halal Industry, supported by a MOHE Research Excellence Consortium Grant. This opportunity is part of the H-TRUST collaborative platform, uniting IIUM, UPM, and UTP to drive innovation in Halal technology. The research project focuses on the development and validation of key components involving AI-assisted halal compliance, IoT-enabled traceability, blockchain integrity systems, and Shariah-aligned workflow validation. The aim is to establish a national Halal AI-IoT-Blockchain compliance framework, contributing directly to Malaysia’s national agenda for Halal innovation. The position is fully funded for two years (1 January 2026 - 31 December 2027) with a monthly stipend of RM3000.
