About this position
PhD position in Construction and Real Estate Development.
I am seeking a PhD-level Graduate Research Assistant to join my research group at Clemson University’s Nieri Department of Construction and Real Estate Development.
The selected candidate will contribute to research projects on AI and blockchain applications across building lifecycle phases, conduct doctoral research aligned with this scope, and complete a dissertation under my supervision.
This position includes a stipend and full tuition waiver for the duration of the PhD program.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience publishing (or preparing) journal papers in construction science/management or information systems development.
2. Proficiency with BIM tools and add-ins (e.g., Revit, pyRevit, Dynamo).
3. Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, C#, SQL, Solidity for blockchain-enabled smart contracts).
4. Demonstrated interest in applying AI/ML and blockchain to advance socially, economically, and environmentally sustainable design, construction, and operations of the built environment.

Funding details
