The University of Leeds is offering up to 5 fully funded PhD scholarships (Leeds Opportunity Research Scholarship, LORS) for talented researchers from Black, Asian, and other minoritised ethnic groups. These scholarships are available for study in any Faculty at Leeds, as part of the university's commitment to diversity and inclusion in postgraduate research. The award covers full academic fees and a maintenance grant (£20,780 for 2025/26, increasing annually), with full-time awards providing funding for 3–3.5 years.

Applicants must be eligible for UK Home fees or have refugee/humanitarian protection status, and must not already hold or be studying for a doctoral degree. A First Degree at undergraduate level equivalent to at least a UK Upper Second Class Honours degree is required, though relevant alternative experience may be considered. English language requirements must be met. The application process involves first applying for a research programme at Leeds, then submitting a separate scholarship application once a Student Application ID is received.
