Description

The iCARE Lab at Kennesaw State University, led by Assistant Professor Muhammad Imran, is seeking PhD students for Fall 2026 admissions in the School of Data Science and Analytics. The lab focuses on cutting-edge research at the intersection of artificial intelligence, data science, and healthcare, with particular emphasis on medical imaging, deep learning, disease detection, segmentation, image registration, AI-assisted cancer screening, and generative models for medical imaging. Students in the iCARE Lab will have the opportunity to work on real-world healthcare challenges using advanced AI techniques, participate in high-impact publications, and engage in international research competitions. The lab environment provides hands-on experience with leading machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, MONAI, and SimpleITK. The PhD in Data Science and Analytics at Kennesaw State University is a full-time, in-residence program designed to train the next generation of data science leaders, researchers, and educators.
