Funding
This PhD position is fully funded for 4 years and includes a travel budget for conferences and summer schools. Salary and benefits are in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities, ranging from €3059 to €3881 per month. The compensation package includes discounts on health insurance, a monthly work costs contribution, and full social security. Flexible work schedules and relocation support are available.

Requirements
Applicants should have an MSc in Environmental Studies, Geography, Economics, Psychology, or a related quantitative social science. They must possess knowledge of statistics and data analysis, and be capable of performing statistical programming, ideally with R or Python (alternatively with SPSS or Stata). Previous experience with designing questionnaires, choice experiments, or other data collection efforts is beneficial. Domain knowledge in climate change, adaptation, risk assessment, or global environmental change is an advantage. Candidates should have solid problem-solving skills, initiative, and fluency in written and spoken English.
