The position is associated with the ECONENGAGE project, which is financed by the European Research Council (ERC) Starting Grant and led by Associate Professor Florence So. The research focuses on how national economic improvement affects citizens’ engagement with politics and democracy, examining topics such as elections, corruption, forms of government, globalization, and European politics.

The Department of Political Science is a vibrant and socially engaged institution, hosting several research programs including the Center for Environmental Political Studies (CEPS), Quality of Government (QoG), Varieties of Democracy (V-Dem), Governance and Local Development (GLD), and the Swedish Electoral Research Program. Applicants should have a second-cycle degree or equivalent, with at least 60 credits in Political Science or related social sciences.
