PhD Positions in Lipidomics and Cardiovascular Research at Maastricht University Maastricht University in Netherlands

Maastricht University is recruiting for three PhD positions as part of the EU Research Consortium LipidBRIGHT, focusing on lipidomics and cardiovascular research. The positions will start in September 2026 and are based at the Cardiovascular Research Institute Maastricht (CARIM) and M4i Maastricht. The research projects include:

• Lipids and cardiovascular risk (Supervisor: Heidi Noels, Biochemistry Dpt, CARIM)
• Lipidomic analyses by high-resolution mass-spectrometry and MALDI imaging to identify, quantify, and localize novel regulators of pathological processes underlying cardiovascular diseases (Supervisor: Joachim Jankowski, Pathology Dpt, CARIM)
• Developing advanced lipidomics toolboxes to study complex biological systems (Supervisors: Maarten Honing and Birol Cabukusta, M4i Maastricht)
