The Department of Sociology at Trinity College Dublin, The University of Dublin, is seeking a PhD Researcher in Sociology for a 48-month funded position. Trinity College Dublin is Ireland’s leading university, located on a historic campus in the heart of Dublin. The successful candidate will join a vibrant doctoral programme within the School of Social Sciences and Philosophy, which offers an interdisciplinary environment including economics, political science, and philosophy.

The department provides comprehensive academic, logistic, and intellectual support, integrating PhD students into a dynamic research community. Funding includes a stipend of £16,091.23 per annum plus full tuition fees for both EU and Non-EU students, covering basic expenses related to the PhD programme. PhD students benefit from a wide range of training opportunities, including participation in departmental research training programmes and access to masters-level courses, particularly in research methods.

Additional support is available for attending international workshops and summer schools, enhancing the academic experience and exposure. The PhD programme is structured around producing four publishable papers, with close collaboration between students and supervisors.
