About this position
CNRS and the Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (C2N) in Palaiseau, France, are recruiting a postdoctoral researcher for a project on spin-photon interfaces for quantum information. The position is embedded in the OQuLus consortium, which aims to explore new strategies for optical quantum computing, and in the QDLight joint laboratory between C2N and Quandela.
The research focuses on quantum optics, solid-state quantum physics, semiconductor quantum dots, and nanophotonics. The successful candidate will develop experiments using spin-photon interfaces as receivers of incoming photons, work toward deterministic spin-photon and photon-photon gates, improve spin coherence, and demonstrate new forms of entanglement where a spin qubit sequentially entangles multiple photons.
The post is based in the GOSS group at C2N, within a collaborative environment that includes experimental, theoretical, and technological expertise. The work involves resonant excitation, coherent optical pumping, cryostats, continuous and pulsed lasers, ultrafast optical modulation, and multi-photon correlation analysis. The team highlights strong links to both fundamental research and industrial innovation through Quandela.
Eligibility: applicants should hold a PhD and have experimental experience in quantum technologies, quantum optics, solid-state quantum physics, light-matter interactions, or nanophotonics. Initiative, autonomy, teamwork, and willingness to learn new techniques are emphasized. Instrumentation experience is considered an advantage.
Funding: the position is a 24-month full-time CNRS CDD postdoc funded by the OQuLus project under PEPR Technologies Quantiques / France 2030. Gross monthly salary is stated as between 3132.83 € and 4343.20 € depending on experience.
Deadline: applications are due on 2026-04-22. Apply via the CNRS job portal and use the contact emails for further information if needed.
